Josephine E. (Potempa) Copello

YORK- Josephine E. (Potempa) Copello, 86, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Charles A. Copello who passed away in July of 1970. A funeral mass will be 11 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011 at St. Patricks Catholic Church, 231 S. Beaver St., York with her Pastor, Fr. Samuel E. Houser officiating. A visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will be held at St. Marys Catholic Church in St. Marys, PA at a later date. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. York, PA 17408 is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Copello was born on May 30, 1924 in Tyler, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Delanta) Potempa. Josephine worked as a Sales Clerk for Burlington Coat Factory and The Bon Ton, where she retired from. She was graduate of Penfield High School. Mrs. Copello is survived by three sons, Richard J. Copello and his wife, Darlene of York, Charles A. Copello, Jr. and his wife Willetta of Glen Rock and Philip G. Copello and his wife, Susan of York; six grandchildren, Tracy, Angela, Lee, Mark, Raelene and Audrey; a step granddaughter, Jessica Weiser; and a brother, John Potempa.
