Joseph Winter

POTTSVILLE- Joseph Winter, 63, of Pottsville, passed away Monday evening at Lehigh Valley Medical Center- Cedar Crest, Allentown. Joe was born in Pottsville on November 11, 1949. He was a son of Iren Liptok Hart, of Auburn, and the late Joseph H. Winter. Joe was a 1967 graduate of Nativity BVM High School, Pottsville. He received his Bachelor degree in 1986 from Penn State University. He was of the Catholic faith. In addition to his mother, Joe is survived by his wife, Kathy Rainbow Winter, of Pottsville, to whom he was married for 20 years on November 28th; his son, Anthony Winter, of Gettysburg; his three daughters, Sophia Winter, of Orwigsburg, and Angelina and Elizabeth Winter, both at home; his two brothers, Kenneth Winter, of Pottsville and Nicholas Winter, of Auburn; his two sisters, Rose Ann Svrcek, of Minersville and Lisa Blankenhorn, of Orwigsburg; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private. Private interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville.
