Joseph W. Bauer, Jr.

POTTSVILLE - Joseph W. Bauer, Jr., 25, of Pottsville died unexpectedly Sunday at his residence. Born in Pottsville on December 15, 1984, he was the son of Joseph W. and Brenda Chattin Bauer, of St. Clair. He was a 2003 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. Joseph was an artist, he enjoyed to draw. He also knew sign language. In high school he worked with the deaf. Surviving Joseph in addition to his parents are: his paternal grandfather, William M. Bauer, Pottsville; a sister, Tanya Svrcek, Pottsville; three nephews, Marty, Sabastion, and Jacob Svrcek; a niece Julianna Svrcek; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by: his paternal grandmother, Dorothea Bauer; and his maternal grandparents, Earl and Martha Chattin. Funeral services will be held Friday at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville, at 11:00 AM with Msgr. William Glosser officiating. Family and friends may call from the funeral home from 10 AM until time of service. Interment will be in the Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Peach Mountain.
