Joseph T. Tate, Jr.

ETTERS – Joseph T. Tate, Jr., 87, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at Autumn House East. He was the husband of the late L.B. “Scotty” (Emler) Tate. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry with Certified Celebrant, Betty Frey officiating. Full military honors will be presented by York County Veterans Honor Guard. A visitation will be held from 3-4:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Born February 12, 1929 in Williamsburg, PA a son of the late Mary Jane (McGregor) and Joseph T. Tate, Sr., he retired as Superintendant of the waste water treatment facility for Newberry Township Municipal Authority on Dec. 2, 2015. Mr. Tate was a member of Harrisburg American Legion and was a US Army veteran of The Korean War. Mr. Tate is survived by a daughter, Patricia and husband Butch Bramble of Seven Valleys; a son, Bo Wiggins and companion Lisa Fisher of Easton, MD; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
