WAYMART-Joseph T. Burns, 59, of Waymart, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 in Punta Gorda, Florida. Born in Taylor on October 5, 1947, he was the son of the late Harry and Lucille M. (Preston) Burns. He was a graduate of Rockaway Hills High School and Mt. Clair Teacher's College. He was a former member of St. Anthony's Church, Newfoundland. He was formerly employed as the General Manager of Rinehart Chrysler-Dodge and was the former owner/operator of County Line Pub, Greentown. He also worked as a police officer in New Jersey and a coach in Morris County Community College. He was a wonderful and loving son, brother, uncle and caregiver. Surviving are his sisters, Margaret Mary "Maggie" Tews and her husband, Ken of Punta Gorda, FL; Jeanne M. Burns-Schwabelmeier, Pleasent Mt, PA; nieces, Bonnie Henneforth (Jim Dolph) and Aimee Coccodrilli (Jason); great niece Kayla; great nephews Jacob and Nicholas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Avoca, with the Reverend Joseph Elston officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Old Forge. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016. Arrangements are by Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main St., Avoca.
