Joseph Kent Walker

YORK- Joseph Kent Walker, 88, of Manchester Township, died Thursday, September 15, 2011 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Jewell M. (Cheek) Walker. The couple celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on February 7th. Following cremation services will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Walker was born in Freeland, MD on July 26, 1923, a son of the late Edward G. and Emma J. (Kraber) Walker. He retired in 1988 from Cole Steel where he was a Dye Setter. Mr. Walker leaves three sons, Spencer Walker and his wife Phyllis of York, Scottie Walker and his wife Ellen, of Greenville, and Jody Walker and his wife Rebecca of Covington, LA; and two grandchildren, Catherine and Sydney Walker.
