Jose P. Segura

YORK- Jose P. Segura, 47, of Jackson Township passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 30, 2023. He leaves his fiancé Rosangel Lopez.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., in York, with a visitation from 5:30-7 p.m. The service will be webcast live and can be viewed by searching Jose’s Obituary at www.HeffnerCare.com Certified Celebrant Amy Favorito will be officiating at the service.

Jose was born in San Jose, Costa Rica on August 30, 1976. He was the son of Walter J. and Elizabeth M. (Solis) Segura of York. He was currently working at Becton Dickinson Diagnostics Systems in Cockeysville, MD, where he was a formulator for almost 20 years.

Jose was an avid Soccer fan who followed Costa Rica’s team, Saprissa. He was also a San Fransisco 49ers and Notre Dame fan. Cooking and grilling for the family were his passion. He enjoyed spending time with his niece, great niece and nephews. Jose attended and graduated from William Penn HS and attended Penn State University.

Along with his fiancé and parents, Jose leaves two sisters, Sarita S. McBride and her husband Derek of Red Lion and Maria J. Segura of York; nieces and nephews, Derek J. McBride (Susan), Giovanni A. McBride (Kayla), and Isabella Suchinsky; and his great niece and nephew, Genesis McBride, Ezekiel McBride, and Rick Sanchez.
