Jonna Marie Hengst

YORK – Jonna Marie (Sowers) Hengst, 73, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Jonna was born on April 15, 1951 in York; a daughter of Janet (Farrell) Sowers of Glendale, AZ and the late John F. Sowers. She had worked at Danskin Inc. and loved taking care of her cats.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Hengst is survived by a daughter, Jodi L. Cutler and her husband William Shenberger of York; two sons, Barry R. Cutler of York and Barry C. Cutler of York Haven; six grandchildren, Jon, Seth, Julian, Jewel, Sam, and Brady; five great grandchildren, Owen, Raelynn, Skyleigh, Dakota, and Jailyn; a sister, Jolena L. Wilson of Sun City, AZ; and a brother, Jerry W. Sowers of York. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Jan Sowers.

Tribute services will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.
