Jon H. Baker

Jon H. Baker, 83, died on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at his residence. He was the husband of Barbara J. (Keeney) Baker. The couple planned to celebrate their 22nd wedding anniversary on November 29th. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion. Viewings will be from 6-8 pm on Tuesday and 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery. Born on October 26, 1933 in Red Lion, he was a son of the late Charles and Pansey (Ziegler) Baker. Jon was a maintenance supervisor for Specialty Industries until his retirement. Mr. Baker was a member of the Red Lion Elks Lodge #1592 and Red Lion American Legion Post #543. Jon enjoyed NASCAR, snowmobiling, boarding horses and traveling to the mountains in Potter County. Along with his wife Barbara, Jon is survived by one daughter, Joni Pellitier of Fellsmere, FL; one step daughter, Tammy Lytle and husband, Conrad of Fairfield; one granddaughter; four great grandsons; two step granddaughters; two nieces; three nephews; two great nieces; and five great nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur S. Baker; and one sister, Maryann Baker. Memorial contributions may be made to the Red Lion Elks Lodge #1592, 323 W. Broadway, Red Lion, PA 17356.
