Jon David Arnold

YORK- Jon David Arnold, 52, died on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at his residence. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with Chaplain Ken Fornicola officiating. A visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery will full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born on January 6, 1962 in York, he was a son of Nancy C. (Gladfelter) Arnold and the late Donald R.B. “Ittie” Arnold. Jon was a 1980 graduate of Central York High School. He worked as a type setter for C-P Converters, Inc. for over 30 years. Mr. Arnold was a member of First Church of the Brethren. Jon had a great passion for the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Hawk Gunning Club. Mr. Arnold served our country for four years in the United States Marine Corps and spent six months in the reserves. Mr. Arnold is survived by three brothers, Donald E. Arnold and his wife, JoAnn of York, Richard S. Arnold of York and Michael E. Arnold of York; two sisters, Nan M. Jourdan of York and Kristal L. Nace and her husband, David of York; six nephews; five nieces; seven great nephews; and 3 great nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda S. Funyak and her surviving husband, Don of York.
