John W. Warren

MONTANDON-John W. Warren, 66, of Montandon, PA, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. He was the loving husband of Donna J. (Vanahan) Warren. The couple married on November 2, 1974 and had 34 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 6:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, Inc. 125 North Front Street, Milton, PA. The funeral Service to celebrate John's life will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday evening at the funeral home with his pastor, Rev. Lavern Smith, officiating. Burial will be in Montandon Cemetery at the convenience of the family. John was born on November 3, 1942 in Lewisburg, PA, the son of the late Robert A. and Sara (Pardoe) Warren. He worked for Chef Boyardee and retired after 37 years, drove school bus for the Milton School District, and in latter years was the train engineer for the Knoebles Grove Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA. He was a faithful member of the United Pentecostal Church of Lewisburg, PA, was a Sunday School teacher since 1981, and always helped by making soup for the Outreach Program's fundraisers. John is survived by his loving wife Donna, his children: Sheila L. (Leroy) Bastian of Watsontown, Vicky C. (Gary) Brown of Turbotville, PA, Terry E. (Gail) Warren of Montgomery, Stephen L. (April) Crowley of Sunbury, Pamela R. (Freeman) Snyder of Pottsgrove and Leslie A. Warren of Lewisburg, 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, his sisters: Mary Wipple of Milton, Genevieve Mensch of Northumberland, and Erma Byers of Lewisburg. John was preceded in death by his parents and his sister and brother-in-law Mary and Franklin Buck.
