John W. Miller

LINDEN - John W. Miller, 84, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at his residence. John was born on December 8, 1927 in Staten Island, NY and was the son of the late Harry and Emma (Fence) Miller. On July 10, 1970 he married the former Shirley A. (Fullerton) who survives and have celebrated 41 years as husband and wife. John was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean War as a CPL. He had worked for the Local 124 and Local 30. In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is survived by two children; David (Elizabeth) Miller and D. Michael (Lori) Miller, 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son: Robert Miller, Jr., one brother and one sister. Two of the grandchildren; Cody Miller (son of Robert) and Emily Miller (daughter of David) stayed by John’s side. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Samuel A. Donelly (boyfriend of granddaughter Emily Miller) will play military taps in his honor. Arrangements are being handled by the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
