PHILADELPHIA - John W. "Jack" Lane, age 69, former Renovo resident, died at Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia on Monday, Aug. 23, 2010. He was born in Renovo on Aug. 27, 1940, a son of the late John C. and Jean McFarland Lane. Jack was a 1958 graduate of Renovo High School, was Catholic by faith, and worked as a housing representative for H.U.D. He was an avid baseball fan who loved the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. John is survived by two sons: Brian Lane of Havertown, Pa. and Brendan Lane of Drexel Hill, and a sister: Theresa Lane of Renovo. Also surviving is an uncle: Earl Lane of Erie and a special aunt and uncle: Mr and Mrs Eugene Monoski of Lock Haven. He was preceded in death by a sister: Esther and a brother: David. A memorial service will be held at a later date and details will be published when completed. Maxwell funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo is in charge of the arrangements.
