He was the husband of the late Doris (Weigel) Engles and the late Naomi M. (Lowery) Engles. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, May 9, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Rev. Randy Starr officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born May 17, 1931 in Red Lion a son of the late John W. and Helen M. (Anderson) Engles, he was a 1950 graduate of Red Lion High School. Mr. Engles had worked at Campbell Chain Co. and later retired from Caterpillar Inc., after 26 yrs. of service. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Engles is survived by a son, Todd W. Engles of Clearwater, FL; one brother, C. Gene Engles of Red Lion; and a longtime companion, Doris Duval of Lakeland, FL. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Murphy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bible Assembly Ministry at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 48 Muddy Creek Forks Rd., Brogue, PA 17309.
