John R. Knight

John R. "Jack" Knight John R. "Jack" Knight, 78, formerly of Mount Carbon, passed away Saturday morning at his residence in Minersville. Born in Pottsville on August 30, 1928, he was the son of the late William and Carrie Crowe Knight. He was an Air Force veteran having served during World War II. He was a graduate of Pottsville High School. Jack was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pottsville. He was a lifetime member of the Mount Carbon Fire Co. He was precede in death by his wife, Anne M. Kehoe Knight, who passed away on Dec. 1, 1980; his great Granddaughter, Brittany Lynn Adams Rutherford; his three brothers, William, George and Ronald Knight; his sister, Virginia Knight. Jack is survived by his daughter, Jean Androshick, wife of Edward, Minersville; his two Granddaughters, Jody Rutherford, wife of Timothy, Mount Carbon and Gina Thompson, wife of Robert, Jr., of Mount Carbon; 6 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside memorial services will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. IN Calvary Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Covenant Home Care, 1510 Highway 61S., Pottsville, PA 17901. The Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., Pottsville is in charge of arrangements.
