John Peter Pazzaglia

TROY- John Peter Pazzaglia, 88, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Bradford County Manor in West Burlington. He was the loving husband of Pauline (Sinkew) Pazzaglia. The couple married August 29, 1953 and had 57 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 6:00-7:45 PM on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA. There will be a Rosary Service at 7:45 PM Sunday evening, August 28th at the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 29, 2011 at St. John’s Catholic Church, on the corner of High and Exchange Streets in Troy, with his pastor, Rev. Fr. Michael McCormick officiating. Burial will follow Mass in St. John’s Cemetery with military rites given by the Troy Veterans Honor Guard. John was born on June 19, 1923 in Peckville, PA, son of the late Romalo and Italia (Passeri) Pazzaglia. He was a US Army veteran, serving his country during World War II. John worked for Hall Motors, had Johnny’s Service Station in Elmira, and worked on the family farm until he retired in 1985. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Troy American Legion Post #49. John enjoyed being with his family, from baiting fishing hooks for his grandchildren to playing poker with his brothers. He enjoyed family birthday parties and get-togethers at holidays. When he was able, you could see John cruising around town on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. John is survived by his wife Pauline, his children: John Joseph (Velma) Pazzaglia of Columbia Cross Roads, Patricia (Joel) Heiland of Hanover, PA, and James Paul (Christy) Pazzaglia of Columbia Cross Roads, his grandchildren: Marc Speciale, Melissa Pazzaglia, Johnny Joe Pazzaglia, Victoria Pazzaglia, Stephanie Pazzaglia, Zachary (Amanda) Heiland, Justin Heiland, Justin (Meghan) Leonard, Amie (Kevin) Dutka, Brock (Jacquelyn) Everts, Jamie, Megan, and Krista Pazzaglia, great grandchildren: Eisley and Grady Leonard, and Christian Pazzaglia, his brothers: Ronald (Mary) Pazzaglia, and Fred Pazzaglia, and his nephews and nieces: David and Sue Pazzaglia, Steve Pazzaglia, Rick and Cindy Pazzaglia, Tommy Joe, and Michelle Pazzaglia. John was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter-in-law Tracey.
