Troy, PA-John P. Sandor, Jr., Age 62 of 992 Town & Country Estates passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 10, 2009 at home. John was born January 21, 1947 in Sayre, PA son of the late John & Betty J. (Doud) Sandor. He attended Troy High School and worked for 27 ½ Years at Masonite and later with Reeves Security. He was married to the former Charlene E. Webster on June 27, 1996 at Ocean City, MD. He was a former member of the Canton Fire Company and his interests included traveling, hunting, NASCAR and watching sports. He was fond of the Penn State Nittany Lions, Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Yankees. John had the gift of gab and could always be found striking up a conversation with his many friends or strangers. Survivors include his loving wife, Charlene E. Sandor of Troy, PA, daughters, Bonnie (Jeff Burgess) Regan of Canton, PA, Carla (Dean Vanderpool) Sandor of Troy, PA, Denise (Norman Guisewhite, Jr.) Sandor of Canton, PA, Melissa Hadlock, of Lawrenceville, PA, Elizabeth (Gregory) Vanderpool-Curren of Philadelphia, PA, son, Harry Duane (Susan) Hadlock of Sayre, PA, brothers, Jerry Sandor of Big Pond, PA, Francis (Sheryl) Sandor of Wilkes Barre, PA, Phillip (Kathy) Sandor of Panama City, FL, sisters, Kathy (Brett) Northrop of Granville Summit, PA, Rita (Harley) Mosher of Wellsboro, PA, grandchildren, Amanda, Randy, Travis, Sheila, Josh, Greg, Jennifer (Jeremy), Stephanie (Greg), Kevin, Michael, Joshua, Renee, Damian, Danielle, Dacota, Elizabeth, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and canine "Princess Mogly". His parents, a daughter Angela Sandor and canine friend "Boo Freddie", predeceased John. Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West main Street, Troy, PA. His funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 2 PM with his son-in-law Gregory Curran officiating. Memorials are directed to the Bradford County Humane Society for dogs, State Route 220 Ulster, PA 18850.
