John Michael Tobias

DANVILLE - John Michael Tobias, 72, died on Friday, April 29, 2011 at his residence. John was born on March 3, 1939 in Liberty Twp. and was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Solamon) Tobias. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Milton. He had worked at Kennedy Van Saun Corp. in Danville, Warsaws and American Home Foods. John is survived by two sisters; Madeline R. Zimmerman and Eleanor B. Valushin, both of Lewisburg and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters; Emily Snyder, Anna Oldynsky, Catherine Pritchard, Margaret Tobias and Marian Tobias. There will be a public viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Broadway, Milton, PA 17847 with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 a.m. Father Thomas A. Scala will officiate the services. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Milton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Arrangements are being handled by The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton.
