John M. Mackey

Renovo - John M. "Pete" Mackey, Jr., 71 passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Bucktail Medical Center. He was born September 9, 1936 in Renovo the son of the late Mary Louise(Deeghan) and John (Pete) Mackey. Prior to his retirement he worked for Capital Coach of Avis and Clinton County Housing Authority at Renovo. He was a member of St. Joseph Church and a graduate of St. Joseph High School class of 1955. Surviving are 2 sisters Kathleen Mackey of Barto, PA and Colleen (Lester) Grotzinger of Greensburg, PA He was preceded in death by two sisters Ann Shearer and her husband Elwood and Mary Lou Johnson. He was admired and respected by all his nieces and nephews and he deeply appreciated their attention, support and devotion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 A.M., Saturday, September 15, 2007 at St. Joseph Church, 925 Huron Ave., Renovo with Rev. Donald E. Boslett officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the church one hour prior to the mass. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner. Memorial contributions can be made to the March of Dimes or St. Joseph Church Memorial Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo.
