John M. Ketterman

Dover—John M. Ketterman, 52, died Friday, May 25, 2012 in Adams County. He was the husband of Monica R. (Billet) Ketterman to whom he was married for 32 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 AM, Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York with the Rev. Daniel Haas officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-8 PM, tonight and from 9-10 AM, Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born August 20, 1959 in York, he was the son of C. Aileen (Bonar) Ketterman of York and the late Jackie D. Ketterman. He was currently employed as a welder with Harley-Davidson Inc., where he has worked for the past 21 years. A member of the National Rifle Association, he was also a family man that loved spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids. He also enjoyed playing his guitars, riding his Harley, attending yard sales and fishing. In addition to his wife, Mr. Ketterman is also survived by one son, Zachary M. Ketterman of Red Lion; one daughter, Amy E. Church and husband, Chris of Fallston, MD; two grandchildren, Lexus E. and Christopher R. Church; two brothers, Stephen L. Ketterman and wife, Dody of Ketterman of N. York and Jeffrey H. Ketterman and wife, Megan of York; one sister, Kathy S. Kunkel and husband, Scott of York New Salem and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to United Way of York County, 800 E. King Street, PO Box 1663, York, Pa 17405. The family requests that everyone attending John’s service dress casually.
