John L. Lakatosh

LEWISBURG - John L. Lakatosh, 80, died Thursday, March 8, 2018 at his residence. He was born on July 18, 1937 in Trenon, NJ and was the son of the late Louis and Anna (Hershey) Lakatosh. On May 30, 1958 John married the former Adele E. Meszaros, who survives and they celebrated 58 years of marriage together last year. He was a graduate of Hamilton High School, NJ Class of 1956 John was a mechanic by trade but went on to own his own business making briar smoking pipes. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the PA Guild of Craftsman. John enjoyed woodworking, fishing, traveling and his dog buddy. In addition to his wife, John is survived by one son; Charles Lakatosh of Waynsboro, three daughters and sons-in-law; Linda and David Reynolds of Arch Dale, NC, Debbie and Jeff Baker of Mazeppa and Denise and Steve Dunkelberger of Middleburg and four grandchildren; Aaron, Megan, Addison and Kendall. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister; Betty Jean Koontz. A celebration of life for John will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
