John L. Frey

YORK John L. Frey, 74 died Friday, November 5, 2010 at his residence. He was the husband of Florence Flossie Frey to whom he was married 28 years on June 25, 2010. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with his pastor, The Rev. Ron Heagy officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM, Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Freysville Union Cemetery. Born February 21, 1936 in York County, he was a son of the late C. Lester Frey and Ida Estella (Kile) Dellinger. Mr. Frey owned Freysville Backhoe Excavating and retired in 2000. He also worked for House of Windsor Cigar Factory earlier in his life. Mr. Frey was a member of York Moose, York Rifleman Association, Red Lion VFW Social, Viking Club, Yankee Club, White Rose Motorcycle Club and Fiddlers Association. He was also a member of Freysville Emmanuel United Church of Christ. In addition to his wife, Mr. Frey is survived by one son, Brad John Frey and wife Haiyan of Dallastown; one daughter, Susan Jamie Deardorff and husband Steven of Dallastown; 3 step-daughters, Carol Jean Lytle and husband Daniel of Stewartstown, Janie Marie Hawks and husband Robert of Virginia Beach, VA, and Doris Ann Fouts of West Palm Beach, FL; one grandson, Gunnar Frey; 4 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Steve Dellinger and wife Molly of York; 2 sisters, Odessa Arcuri and husband Dominic of York, and Linda Shettel and husband Donald of York.
