John L. Doane

ERIN, NY- John L.Doane, 42, of Erin, NY passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family. John was born on September 1, 1966 in Frankfort, Germany, son of Orlo L. and Kathy R. (Struzinsky) Doane who currently reside in Erin, NY. He was a 1985 Spencer-Van Etten High School graduate and was employed by Fairway Springs as a set up man. In his spare time, John liked workworking with his dad and working on his cars. John is survived by his parents Orlo and Kathy, his children: Cody, Courtney, Anthony, and Makayla Doane, all of Elmira, his sisters: Christine Garris and Diana Doane, both of Elmira, his nieces: Ashley Coates, Jessica Ritchey, and Rebecca Whitman, and his loving friend Kelly Lauferswiler. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 2:00-3:00 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main St, Wellsburg, NY. The funeral service to honor John's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 3rd at the funeral home with John's uncle, Rev. Robert Doane, officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
