POTTSVILLE- John “Jack” R. Weismiller, 85, of Pottsville passed away Monday morning at Manor Care Nursing Home, Pottsville. Born in Pottsville on January 11, 1927, he was a son of the late Clarence and Catherine Haley Weismiller. Jack was an Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the streets department for City of Pottsville for 26 years before retiring. Jack was a member of Saint Patrick’s Church, Pottsville. He was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Pottsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three sisters, Dorothy Azbell, Rita Szeliga and Mary Markowski. Jack is survived by his twin sister, Jean Templin, and her husband James, of Port Carbon; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 10:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Streets, Pottsville. Deacon Jack Quirk will officiate. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville.
