John J. Trenka

MANCHESTER, NJ- John J. Trenka, 96, formerly of York passed away Monday, March 19, 2018 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. He was the husband of the late Mae (Homan) Trenka. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be private in Tri-County Memorial Gardens in Lewisberry. The Reverend Eddie D.D. Miller will be officiating at the service. Mr. Trenka was born in Long Island, NY on November 9, 1921. He was the son of the late John J. and Minnie (Tome) Trenka. He retired from the Long Island Lighting Company. He served in the US Navy in WWII. Mr. Trenka leaves two sons, Jack Trenka of York and Dale Trenka of Florida; a daughter, Ellen Murtha of New Jersey; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great, great grandchildren.
