John J. “Junior” Biesaideski, Jr.,

WILKES-BARRE - John J. Junior Biesaideski, Jr., 61, of Dupont, passed away Thursday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born on July 5, 1949 in Taylor, he was a son of Celia (Fliss) Biesaideski, Dupont, and the late John J. Biesaideski, Sr. He was formerly employed as a carpenter by #1 Construction, Ashley. He was a very skilled carpenter but could do anything from electrical to masonry work. John was a member of the Dupont Lions Club and was recently honored for 30 years of service. He was also honored as Lion of the Year. He was especially known for his commitment to putting up the Christmas lights. He was also a member of the Polish American Citizens Club, where he served on the board. He was an avid blood donor for over 30 years. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by a brother, Casimir M. Biesaideski, who passed away in 1982. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Paul J. Biesaideski, Dupont; a sister, Rita Ziobro, Dupont; 3 nephews. The funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from Kniffen OMalley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main Street, Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. The Reverend Joseph D. Verespy will officiate. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
