John J. Clay

John J. Clay, 54, formerly of Pottsville, passed away Monday morning at Allied Services, Scranton, PA, where he resided. Born in Pottsville on August 25, 1958, John was a son of the late William and Josephine Padlock Clay. John was of the Catholic faith. John loved to dance to polka music and he enjoyed doing the Chicken dance. He loved to read books as well. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, William 'Bill' Clay. John is survived by his two sisters, Ann Marie Kull, wife of David, of Yacaipa, CA and Sharon Kreiger, wife of Ronald, of Pottsville; his three nieces, Denise Kull, Stephanie White and Brittanie Kreiger; his three nephews, David Kull, William Clay and Benjamin Kreiger. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 11:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral, Inc., 6th and West Market Sts., Pottsville. Father David J. Loeper will officiate. Friends may call on Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Peach Mountain, Pottsville.
