John H. Yorgey, Sr.

YORK - John H. Yorgey, Sr., 54, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 in the comfort of his home. He was the husband of Silvia H. Dugan to whom he married on May 25, 2014 and has shared his life for the past 29 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Certified Celebrant Jessica Smith officiating. A visitation will be held from 2-3:00 PM Saturday at the Funeral Chapel. John was born October 1, 1959 in Montgomery Co., a son of Shirley and Joseph Yorgey. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time with his close hunting buddies. He loved history and spending time with family and friends. John is also survived by his beloved sons with whom he cherished spending time, John H. Yorgey, Jr. and twins, Michael F. and Steven M. Yorgey; two brothers, Joseph Yorgey and David Yorgey; a sister Ruth Yorgey; and great friend and brother in law, Russell E. Horn, III of York.
