John G. Blouse, Sr.

Millsboro, DE - John G. Blouse, Sr., 93, recently residing in Red Lion, died on Memorial Day May 25, 2015 at 7:30 a.m. He was living at Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation and Health Center in Millsboro. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Brown) Blouse. Mr. Blouse was born in Lower Chanceford Township on January 1, 1922. He was the son of the late George W. and Erma (Kimmons) Blouse. He served in the US Navy from 1942-1969. His last assignment was aboard the USS Multiphen with the Atlantic Fleet. He served in WWII and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He received many service ribbons and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the American Legions in Red Lion and Dallastown and the Fleet Reserve Association. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 9-11 a.m. Certified Celebrant Betty Frey will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery with full military honors provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Blouse leaves a son, John G. Blouse, Jr. of Glen Arm , MD; two daughters, Barbara C. Bell of Berlin, MD, and Denise E. Hall of Crosby, TX. He has seven living grandchildren and one deceased grandchild; 12 great grandchildren; and a sister, Helen of York. Memorial contributions may be made to the Aicardi Syndrome Foundation, P.O.
