John F. Schmuck

YORK – John F. Schmuck, 76, died Monday, March 22, 2021 at Rest Haven-York. He was the husband of Janet I. (Sawmiller) Schmuck, with whom he would have celebrated 55 years of marriage in April. Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born July 7, 1944 in York, he was a son of the late George W. and Betty J. (Davis) Schmuck. He began his career as a machinist, then a tool and die maker, and later a supervisor. John was a member of several civic and fraternal organizations, including the Free & Accepted Masons-Red Lion Lodge No. 649 and Bethany United Methodist Church in Red Lion. In addition to his wife, Mr. Schmuck is also survived by two sons; Joseph W. Schmuck of Red Lion and Justin L. Schmuck of Maryland; four grandchildren, all of which he dearly loved.
