John E. Vincent

LEWISBURG - John E. Vincent, 83, of West Milton, died Monday at the Evangelical Community Hospital. Born in West Milton on December 8, 1924, he was a son of the late Dudley H. & Bertha (Kaiser) Vincent. He was a 1942 graduate of Milton High School and also got his degree in 1948 from Millersville University. Until retiring after 33 years of teaching Industrial Arts, John was employed by the Sousa High School in Washington DC. John was a member of the Twin Churches. He was also a member of the Milton Masonic Lodge, the Ancient Order of the Scottish Rite, and the Williamsport Consistory. On July 17, 1948, John married the former Lottie R. Harstead, who survives. Surviving John, in addition to his wife Lottie, are: a son, John, of Milton; two daughters, Barbara Hickey, of Gambrills, MD and Bonnie Lee Vincent, of Milton; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a brother, Dudley Vincent, of West Milton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM from The Dale Ranck Funeral Services, Inc., 125 N. Front St., Milton. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM until time of service. Interment will be in the Church Hill Cemetery, Kelly Township.
