FAIRVIEW TOWNSHIP- John E. Myers, 65, of Lewisberry, died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at his residence. He was the husband of Joyce M. (Strausbaugh) Myers. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 863 Lewisberry Rd., in Lewisberry, with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Her pastor, The Reverend Timothy L. Hoffman will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery with full military honors by York County Veteran's Honor Guard. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc. 305 W. Front Street in Lewisberry is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Myers was born in York on April 30, 1942, the son of the late Maurice and Kathleen (Hoffman) Myers. He retired from Maple Press Company in York. He was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewisberry, West Shore Sportsman's Club, Harrisburg Beagle Club, Yellow Breaches Anglers, and Trout Unlimited. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Myers leaves a daughter, Michele M. McCutcheon and her husband Steven of Harrisburg, a grandson, Anthony T. McCutcheon, a mother-in-law, Katherine Strausbaugh of West York, a sister-in-law, Gloria Sterner and her husband Thomas of Thomasville and nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 863 Lewisberry Rd., Lewisberry, PA 17339.
