John E. Mcmahon

WILLIAMSPORT - John E. McMahon, 58, died on Monday, May 25, 2009 at the Williamsport Hospital. John was born on June 10, 1950 in Williamsport and was a son of the late Francis J. and Irene A. (Audet) McMahon. He was a graduate of the former St. Joseph High School and obtained his Bachelors Degree from the Bloomsburg State College. On November 6, 1992, he married the former Kristy L. (Wright) and celebrated 16 years of marriage together, who survives. He was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Williamsport and was a devoted husband and father. In addition to his wife Kristy, he is survived by one son; Andrew J. McMahon of Williamsport, one brother and sister-in-law; James C. "Jim" and Ann McMahon of Williamsport, one sister and brother-in-law; MaryEllen and Brian McHugh of Webster, NY, six nieces, four nephews and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the Annunciation Catholic Church, 701 West Fourth St., Williamsport with Father John K. Manno as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport. There will be a public viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport with a rosary service beginning at 8:30 p.m. The family will provide the flowers.
