YORK - John E. Frey, Sr., 63, died Thursday, February 28, 2008 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Lois J. [Haines] Frey to whom he was married for 17 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Bethlehem (Stonepile) United Methodist Church, 250 Bethlehem Church Road, Red Lion with his pastor, The Rev. Thomas R. Osenbach officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM Sunday at the Church. Private burial will be in the Church cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born January 24, 1945 in North Hopewell Twp., a son of the late Mary I. [Brenneman] Frey and William E. Frey, Sr., he owned and operated Windsor Service Station for 40 years. Mr. Frey was a member of Happy Hollow Hunting Camp in Potter Co.; York County Garagemen Assoc.; a life member of Laurel Fire Co. in Windsor; and was a former member of Yorkanna Gun Club. He was an active member of Bethlehem [Stonepile] U.M. Church and enjoyed hunting and spending time at his camps in the mountains. In addition to his wife, Mr. Frey is survived by a daughter, Jane R. Frey Mundis of Felton; a son, John E. Frey, Jr. and companion Jennifer Hayes of Windsor; three grandchildren, Cody Mundis, Jacob Hayes, and Jordan Frey; a brother, William E. Frey, Jr. and wife Linda of Red Lion; a sister, M. Kathryn and husband Norman King of Missouri; and nieces. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Laurel Fire Co., 94 Schoolhouse Lane, Windsor, PA 17366 or to Bethlehem (Stonepile) U.M.
