John Cook

WILLIAMSPORT - John Cook, 77, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Rose View Center, Williamsport. He was born in Philadelphia on October 31, 1937 and was the son of the late Jay C. and Sara (Williams) Cook. John was married to the late Linda (McNeal) Cook. John enjoyed playing bingo, going to the movies and casinos and riding his bike around town. John is survived by one daughter; Savannah Boyd-Patterson of Williamsport, one grandson; Shawn Boyd of Williamsport, one great grandson; Michael John Boyd, and one brother; Emmit Cook of Philadelphia. In addition to his parents and wife, John was preceded in death by one son; John Boyd, four brothers; William, Thomas, Edward and Earl Cook and two sisters; Harriet Bond and Ella Mae Amaker. A public viewing will be held 6:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Allen and Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira Street, Williamsport followed by the funeral at 7:00 p.m. with Elder Mack Duncan officiating. Burial will take place in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport at the convenience of the family.
