John C. Mcmurtrie

Williamsport - John C. McMurtrie, 44 passed away at home on Friday, December 7, 2007. He was born February 22, 1963 in Williamsport the son of John B. & Ronna M. (Stitely) McMurtrie. John was a 1981 graduate of Williamsport High School and then he attended Lycoming College and Penn College. John enjoyed music he was an amateur astronomer and meteorologist. He also enjoyed traveling with his family. Surviving are his mother Ronna M. Cassotis and her husband Stephen of Williamsport. One brother Bennett McMurtrie of New York City Two sisters Cindy Jacobson of Yorba Linda, California and Elise Mang of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Several nieces and nephews survive. He was preceded in death by his father John McMurtrie. The funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton with Pastor Stephen Shirk officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Milton Cemetery.
