John Anthony Witkowski

YORK-John Anthony Witkowski, 94, of York Township, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 at his residence. He was the husband of Betty Lou (Marshner) Witkowski. The couple celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary on January 29, 2023.

Services will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mr. Witkowski was born in Baltimore, MD on August 25, 1929, the son of the late Anthony S. and Katherine (Borkowski) Witkowski. He retired in 1991 from Citi Group, where he was a financial advisor. He was a 1948 graduate of Mount St. Joseph High School in Baltimore.

Mr. Witkowski leaves five sons, John A. Witkowski, Jr. and his wife Kathy, David J. Witkowski and his wife Rita, Steve J. Witkowski and his wife Lorraine, Kenneth J. Witkowski and his wife Linda; and Andrew J. Witkowski and his wife Tammy, four grandchildren, John, III, Richard, Kristin, and Stefanie; along with step grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony S. Witkowski and a sister, Bernadine Lescalette.
