YORK- John Philip Andrezywski, Sr., 75, died on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at his residence. He was the husband of Sandra May (Brown) Andrezywski. The couple recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on March 8th.
A tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Certified Celebrant Allison Duke officiating and full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at the start of the service. Viewings will be from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and 7 pm. – 9 p.m. on Friday, March 28 and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Saturday, all at the funeral home.
Born on July 1, 1949 in Baltimore, he was a son of the late Walter Andrezywski and Mary Elizabeth (Callahan) Andrezywski. John worked in home improvement doing carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.
Mr. Andrezywski served our country for 16 years in the U.S. Army including deployment in the Vietnam War. Out of high school, he enlisted as the highest level of civilian education attainable.
John loved his dogs, especially Angel, being outdoors, gardening and fishing.
Along with his wife, Sandy, John is survived by his son, John Andrezywski, Jr. and his wife, Theresa of Felton; two daughters, Dawn Karasek and her husband, Joseph, III of Palm Harbor, FL and Michele Temple and her husband, Robert of Jacksonville, FL; eight grandchildren, Heather Rivera and her husband, Luis, Samantha Lindo and her husband, Horatio, Sabrina Temple and her wife, Nicole, Joshua Andrezywski, Joseph Karasek, IV, Brittany Fuss and her husband, Nathan, Sarah Andrezywski and Mark Andrezywski and his wife, Ivy; and 11 great grandchildren, Isabella Rivera, Brooklynn Lindo, Laila Heiner, Jayana Lindo, Hadley Andrezywski, Cain Andrezywski, Bradley, Oaklynn Andrezywski, Lily, Amelia Andrezywski and Elijah Andrezywski. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Raymond; and three sisters, Franny, Margaret Rose and Jeanine.
