Joanne Marie (Graham) Grove

Red Lion—Joanne Marie (Graham) Grove, 73, was taken home to Heaven, Monday, February 15, 2016. She was the wife of Earl F. Grove to whom she was married for 52 years. Born July 9, 1942 in Long Level, she was a daughter of the late Arthur D. and Alverta E. (Kinard) Graham. She was a 1961 graduate of Eastern York High School. She was employed as a machinist with ITT Engineered Valves in Lancaster for 37 years until her retirement in 2007. A member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, she also attended the former Ebenezer United Methodist Church for many years and as a teenager she accepted Jesus as her Savior. She was a wonderful, loving, and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who was dedicated to her family and loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed reading, taking bus trips with the West Manchester Mall Walkers, family vacations to the beach and loved the cruises she took with her husband to Hawaii and the New England States. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Grove is also survived by three daughters: Julie A. Carr and her husband Chris of Red Lion, Cindy L. Harrison and her husband, Jeff of York and Jennifer R. Grove and her companion, Charles Bass II of York; five grandchildren: Madison, Morgan, and Christopher Carr and Cameron and Cohen Harrison; two sisters, Judy Cordrey of Craley and Lois Kopp of York and nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Robert Graham and two sisters, Alma Snyder and Norma Stone. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 2 PM at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Pastor Terry Robinson and Pastor R. Howard Edmondson officiating. A viewing will be held from 12-2 PM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Round Hill Presbyterian Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers Felecia Miller and Diane Cross and also the staff at Wellspan VNA.
