Joanne M. (Casazza) Ericson

Dover—Joanne M. (Casazza) Ericson, 75, died Monday, May 15, 2017 at her residence in Dover Township. She was the wife of Richard C. Ericson with whom she celebrated 54 years of marriage on April 27th. A viewing will be held from 6-8PM, Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. A Prayer Service will begin at 7PM, officiated by Fr. Carl Tancredi. Born April 2, 1942 in Manhattan, New York, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Gloria (Garbarino) Casazza. Joanne was a resident of Massapequa Park for forty two years. She was the owner and manager of Unqua Travel in Massapequa Park for over 25 years. Joanne was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Dover Senior Center, where she was part of their exercise club. An avid gardener, she also loved traveling, was an excellent cook and loved the time in the summer at TOBAY with her sons. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ericson is also survived by twin sons, Glenn E.R. Ericson and wife Theresa of Dover and Keith A.P. Ericson and wife Lori, of East Islip, NY; three grandchildren, Lisa A. Ericson, William C. Ericson and Elizabeth P. Ericson; one sister, Eileen Paparella of Holmdel, NJ and 9 nieces and nephews.
