Joanne D. (Inners) Olewiler

RED LION- Joanne D. (Inners) Olewiler, 89, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at York Hospital. She was the loving wife of Dale M. Olewiler, her high school sweetheart who passed away October 10, 2003. They had been married 52 years. Joanne was born in Red Lion on August 30, 1931 to the late Frederick F. Inners, Sr. and Madeline F. Inners. She graduated from Red Lion High School Class of 1949. After graduating from Thompson Business School, she worked as secretary to the manager of the Yorktowne Hotel. Later in life she managed the books for her husband’s trucking business and then worked for Phillips Van Heusen Corp., retiring in 1992. Joanne was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Red Lion for 77 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family at their vacation home in Ocean City, MD and taking trips with her husband from Maine to Florida. She is survived by her son, Craig A. Olewiler and wife Nancy of Enola; her daughter, Lesley Olewiler Brouse of Lititz; and sister in laws, Kerry Olewiler and Janice Inners both of York. In addition to her parents and husband, Joanne was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Fred Inners, Jr. and son in law, Mark S. Brouse. The family would like to thank Brenda with Home Helpers, Red Lion and many of Joanne’s neighbors who were very helpful and kind to her. A private graveside service will be held at Red Lion Cemetery.
