Joan M. (Nace) Grove

YORK – Joan M. (Nace) Grove, 76, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Barbara J. Egan Nursing Center in Shrewsbury. She was the wife of Paul H. Grove to whom she was married for 50 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 23, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church, 2580 Mt. Rose Avenue, York with her pastor, The Rev. Tab E. Cosgrove officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM Thursday at the Church. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born October 10, 1938 in York a daughter of the late Charles L. and Miriam (Kessler) Nace, she was a 1956 graduate of Spring Grove High School. Joan had worked for Prudential Insurance Co. as a young adult. After having children, Joan was an Avon representative in York for 30 years. She was an active member at St. John Lutheran Church where she was involved with Sunday school, Bible classes, Altar Guild, and helping in the school library. She enjoyed sewing and reading. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Grove is survived by a son, Eric P. and wife Melissa Grove of Dallastown; a daughter, Andrea L. and husband Timothy Wilkins of Narvon, PA; two grandsons, Andrew and Jonathan Wilkins; and a stepbrother, Donald Golden of Spring Grove. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorna Nace and Linda Mummert. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 2580 Mt.
