DALLASTOWN- Joan M. (Datz) Entwistle, 54 of York Township, died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Gilchrist Hospice Care in Towson, MD after a courageous battle with Leukemia. She was the loving wife of Dean E. Entwistle. The couple celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on October 18, 2009. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2010 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 251 E. Main Street in Dallastown, with a visitation from 9-10 a.m. Her pastor, The Reverend Charles L. Persing will be officiating at the Mass. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Joan was born in Elmer, NJ on November 3, 1955 a loving daughter of Doris M. (Kennedy) Datz of Mullica Hill, NJ and the late John H. Datz. She worked for 20 years as a Physical Therapist for Visiting Nurses Association in York. Joan was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Dallastown, was a graduate of Simmons College in Boston and she was an avid gardener. Joan leaves a loving daughter, Jenna Entwistle of Dallastown; a loving son, Justin Entwistle of Dallastown four loving brothers, Jack Datz and his wife Kathy of Pitman, NJ, Bill Datz and his wife Ann of Florence, NJ, Ted Datz and his wife Joyce of Easton, PA, and Steve Datz and his wife Susan of Mullica Hill, NJ; two loving sisters, Eileen Datz-Kinahan and her husband Tom of Midlothian, VA and Kathleen Mahoney and her late husband David of Winchester, Mass, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, 800 Corporate Circle, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
