Joan M. Lawrence

RED LION – Joan M. (Kauffman) Lawrence, 80, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. 

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Shenbergers Chapel Cemetery located at 10085 Chapel Church Road, Red Lion, PA 17356. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Born April 3, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Louis Sr. and Evelyn (Rawheiser) Kauffman. After graduating high school, Ms. Lawrence furthered her education at IUP where she received a Bachelor’s degree. For most of her working life, Joan was a social worker for York Adams MH-IDD, where she later retired. Outside of work, she attended Living Word Community Church. She also enjoyed traveling, going to the theater, flowers, eating a good meal with friends and family, and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Joan is survived by her daughter, Heather Arnold and her husband Troy of Red Lion; two grandchildren Brooks Arnold and his wife Allyson and Logan Arnold; two great-grandchildren, Cade and Damien Arnold; and a brother, Louis Kauffman, Jr.
