Joan E. (Seidel) Carpenter

MILTON - Joan E. (Seidel) Carpenter, 74, of Milton, died on Tuesday May 3, 2011 at Geisinger Medical Center where she was admitted earlier that day. She was born on April 21, 1937 in Lewisburg PA. The daughter of the late John and Mary (Davis) Seidel. She was a member of the Christ Wesleyan Church Milton. She worked for the Milton Area High School in the housekeeping dept. and she enjoyed reading and gardening. Joan is survived by one son, Allen R. (Cathy) Carpenter of Milton, one daughter, Charlotte M. (Clyde) Hull of Quincy, OH. Five grandchildren Jennifer, Megan, Garett, Laura and Logan. One sister Nancy Neuhard of Milton. Her former husband George D. Carpenter of Watsontown also survives her. A memorial service will be held 7:00 P.M., Monday, May 9, 2011 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton with Pastor Arlie Davis officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701 Interment will be private.
