Joan E. (Gamble) Croucher

HUGHESVILLE - Joan E. (Gamble) Croucher, 67, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at her residence. She was born on April 06, 1947 in Williamsport and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Sara E. (Bohart) Gamble. On January 07, 1967 Joan married Francis A. “Fran” Croucher who survives and they celebrated 48 years of marriage together this year. Joan attended the Williamsport High School. She worked for The Villa of Williamsport. Her passion in life was cooking and baking as well as spending time with her family. In addition to her husband Fran, Joan is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law; Mark Croucher of Hughesville, Michael and Michelle Croucher of Williamsport and Christopher Croucher of Charlotte North Carolina, four daughters and three sons-in-law; Arlene and Dennis Wesley of Williamsport, Therese and Glen Mayer of Hughesville, Rebecca and Michael Matlosz of Jonestown and Elizabeth Reeder of Hughesville, 22 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one sister: Sara Winder of Williamsport. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by one brother; Kenneth Mahaffey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susquehanna Health Foundation, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701 to benefit the Cancer Center. A gathering of friends and family will be held 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira Street, Williamsport, PA 17701 followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. with Nick D’Angelo officiating.
