Joan A. Le Rendu

YORK – Joan A. (Schaeffer) Le Rendu, 87, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at her home. She was the wife of the late Raymond R. Le Rendu. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with her son-in-law, Pastor Victor Holler officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-8:00 PM Wednesday and 12:30-1:30 PM Thursday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Joan was born on September 21, 1934 in Oakland, MD; a daughter of the late Allen and Helen (Schindel) Schaeffer. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and cooking for her friends and family. Mrs. Le Rendu is survived by a son, Raymond R. Le Rendu, Jr. of York; two daughters, Deborah Lynn Myers of Milford, DE and Myra Dawn and husband Victor Holler of Dover; three grandchildren, Sandy, Matthew and Ricky; five great grandchildren, Autumn, Austin, Layken, Brandon and Brooklyn; a great great grandson; and three sisters, Faye Wheatly of Brick, NJ, Sharon Upman and Edie Mae Martin both of Baltimore, MD. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amber Arter; four brothers; and one sister.
