MILTON - Jimmie F. Brown, 76, died on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. Jimmie was born in Irish Vally, PA on January 18, 1935 and was the son of the late Harry W. and Laura M. (Enders) Brown. On December 26, 1959, he married the late Blanche A. (Marks) and celebrated 45 years of marriage before her death on January 21, 2005. He was a Sergeant with the US Marine Corp and served during the Korean War. He had retired from Chef Boyardee in 1997 after working there for over 40 years. Jimmie enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR racing, the Philadelphia Phillies, playing his guitar and singing. Jimmie is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law; Patricia A. Young of Hughesville and Gloria J. and Scott Maust of Selinsgrove, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two brothers and one sister-in-law; William T. and Sis Brown of Milton and Paul D. Brown of Williamsport and two sisters and one brother-in-law; Ruth Strassner of Lewisburg and Lucy and Richard Cotner of Watsontown. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother; Leon Brown and two sisters; Betty B. Betz Buck and Lila Satteson. There will be a public viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 at The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Judi A. Dunkelberger, St. Paul United Methodist Church, Lewisburg, will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the Montandon Cemetery.
