Jessie A. (Love) Wise

RED LION - Jessie A. (Love) Wise, 98, died Monday, January 31, 2013 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late William F. Wise, who died in 1966. The couple was married in 1938. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 12:30-2 p.m. The Reverend Joe Yorks and The Reverend Stephanie Sechrist will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Wise was born in Shanks Ferry on November 3, 1914, the daughter of the late George D. and Bertha M. (Shenk) Love. She worked for Mellinger Shoe Store in Red Lion from 1951-1998. Mrs. Wise was a 75 year member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and Sunday school in Red Lion. She was a 1932 Graduate of Red Lion High School. Mrs. Wise leaves a son, Glenn W. Wise of Mountville and Dean B. Wise and his wife Betsy of Shokan, NY; two grandchildren, Zachary and Nicholas Wise; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 45 First Ave., Red Lion, PA 17356.
