Jesse W. Hoffman, Jr.

JERSEY SHORE - Jesse W. Hoffman, Jr., 61, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at The Gatehouse. He was born November 25, 1952 in Jersey Shore a son of the late Jesse W. Hoffman, Sr. and Doris (Spong). Jesse was married on November 8, 1975 to the former Marie C. Morrison. They celebrated 39 years of marriage together. He worked for Mid Valley Amusements, M & M Auto and Williamsport Auto Wreckers. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and four-wheeling. He enjoyed working on cars going to auctions with his wife and attending the races at the Clinton County Speedway. Jesse was always there to help others. Surviving are his loving wife, one son Shawn C. Hoffman of Ebensburg, PA one daughter Melissa Gardner of Montgomery. Three grandchildren Tyler, Joseph and Lillian. Three brothers Richard Hoffman of Loganton and Clarence Hoffman and Leroy Hoffman both of Jersey Shore also one sister Audrey L. Rishel of Antes Fort. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A daughter Jessica Ann Hoffman in 1977 and also two sisters Dorothy Rishel Hoffman and Canda Krugle preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the memorial service. Interment will be private.
